The Grundfos BMET turbocharging system consists of two pumps, BME and BMT, connected in series. Both pumps are Grundfos multi-stage submersible pumps built into stainless steel sleeves. The pulley ball bearing is equipped with a self-lubricating and self cooling system. The shaft seal of BME pump is made of carbon silicon carbide, which is particularly suitable for high-pressure applications. BME and BMT pumps are equipped with water lubricated axial thrust bearings that can absorb axial forces from the pump. The rubber bearings inside the pump are water lubricated, while the ball bearings inside the motor are grease lubricated.
